Words have power.

Your audience is inserting themselves into every single word you’ve written.

A CTA, a product description, or a 2,000 word blog. Doesn’t matter. They’re thinking about themselves.

Your copy becomes relentlessly successful when you give your audience the opportunity to level up in their story.

So as your copywriter, I won’t convince people that your brand or your product is awesome and that they should use it.

I’ll remind them of their integrity, and how your campaign/product/knowledge gives them the opportunity to be even more authentically *them*.

This is how a sale becomes a no brainer.
This is how my words become your advantage.

Let’s get you seen, heard, and respected.

Sounds great. How much?

We can work together per project, with day rates, or with ongoing retainer rates.

Retainers are the most cost-effective and time-effective way of working with me.

Pricing possibilities

  • Loads of people need little one-offs, project-specific support or occasional copywriting expertise from someone who can hop in, work some magic, and then hop out. Hi!

Snap me up for a project if you’d like:

    • To dip your toe in the pool of possibilities (and see if I’m worth putting on a retainer)

    • A fixed price for a specific asset with a timeframe

    • Some work doing every now and then with no strings attached.

All projects include our creative meeting together, research (including competitor research & analysis), strategy, optimisation, and at least one round of feedback.

Here are some ballpark figures for possible one-off projects (not an exhaustive list):

    Standard 5-page website: £2800+
    Landing page: £850-1500+
    LLM-optimised About Me: £450+
    FAQ section: £250+

    Email sequences: £525-2000+
    Email auto-response templates: £200+

    Tone of Voice handbook: £1,000+

LinkedIn refresh (bio, headline, job descriptions): £400-750+

    Blog article (500-700 words): £444
    Blog article (700-1000 words): £555+

    Two-sided flyer: £200
    Event description: £75+

    Press release: £450

If you’ve got a project that isn’t listed here or above, pop me a quick message and we’ll find a way to get you those words.

  • For transparency, the Procopywriters 2025 survey showed that the average freelance copywriter day rate is £480.

My standard day rate is £525.

Typically, when someone hires me and pays my day rate, they’ll end up paying between £525 - 2,000 for the whole project depending on the scope.

They could email me and say, “Hi Anna, I’m launching a product. I need a sequence of sideways sales emails and 2x aftercare emails, as well as 3x social media posts to support the launch.”

    In which case, I’d say:

Sure! That kind of lift and the skills it calls upon, including our 50-min creative meeting, extensive research, execution, and 2x rounds of edits will cost about £1600.

By the way—no copywriter can ever provide an ROI up front, but imagine this campaign generating just 5% more sales based upon that investment (as a modest estimate). Which wouldn’t be bad at all, would it.

  • As a retainer client, you get:

    1. First dibs on my availability, and flexibility on your scope of work and needs

    2. My full understanding of your intentions, your systems, and your brand, without having to explain it over and over again to new freelancers

    3. Faster turnarounds, as it takes less time to write for brands that I’ve already gone through with a fine-toothed comb

    4. Expert copy and strategy from someone that slots seamlessly into your team and vibe

    5. My full range of work.

My retainer rate starts from £483 per month, which is 1x day rate at a discount. (My day rate is £525).

We do a minimum of 1x day per month, on a rolling retainer contract of 3, 6, or 12 months.
The longer the contract, the bigger the discount.

    For example:

    3 month retainer discount: 515
    6 month retainer discount: 499
    12 month retainer discount: 483

The typical range my clients pay while having me on a monthly retainer is around £900-1800 a month for ongoing projects. Like those with 4x LinkedIn posts and 4x newsletters a month, with website updates, a blog, or an extra email campaign thrown in.

Retainer packages

Less stress, more strategy, and ongoing support that understands the depth of your business.

  • Choose this if:

    • You need light-touch support with your copy and storytelling

    • You’ve got a good cadence going with your business, but struggle to market yourself or your product in certain areas

    • You’d like to see some results before committing to a larger retainer

    • You feel good about where you’re headed but could really do with outsourcing your socials, emails, or a blog per month.

We start with 1x day a month. You always have the option to add work depending on your fluctuating copy requirements. You’re a retainer client, so you get first dibs on my availability.

My retainer rate starts from £483 per month, which is my day rate at a discount (my day rate is £525).

We do a minimum of 1x day per month on a rolling retainer contract of 3, 6, or 12 months.
The longer the contract, the bigger the discount.

    For example:

3 month retainer day rate: £515
6 month retainer day rate: £499
12 month retainer day rate: £483

    Example Lite retainer
    12 month discount
    1x working day per month*

    Each month:

    • 1× 30-minute strategy and content check in

    • 1 core deliverable
(This could be 1× 600 word blog post, or 2x newsletters, or 1x sideways sales campaign, for example)

    • Light copy-editing or feedback on a small piece of existing content

    • 1x small ad-hoc request (e.g. a caption)

    • 1x round of feedback.

Investment: £483 per month (12 month retainer price).

With the 12 month retainer discount, you get 12 days of work from me for about the price of 11.

*By the way, if you need more content, or want to try out different deliverables, we’ll just adjust as we go along. That’s what the monthly meeting is for. I expect your needs to evolve over time and your strategy will evolve alongside that, too.

  • Choose this if:

    • You want your copy to tie into your business goals more

    • You’re ready to amplify the quality of your written assets for the long haul

    • You want your copy to gain trust and presence, and see tangible results

    • You want people to recognise you when you land in their inbox or feed, or when they land on your website

    • You want to move from scattered ideas towards coherent narratives

Here’s an example of what pick ‘n mixing could look like:

    6-month retainer
    4x working days per month
    Each month*:

    • 1x monthly creative meeting to discuss strategy, analytics, and content needs

    • 1x LLM-search optimised and SEO optimised blog per month (600-800 words)

    • 4x newsletters per month

    • 1x LinkedIn post per month

    • 2x short form ad-hoc pieces per month (meta captions, headlines, a product description)

    • 1x light copy-edit (maybe you just want my eyes on something before you hit send)

Including the research, strategy, optimisation, and feedback touchpoints, this will come to about 4.5 working days per month.

At face value, that lands between £2,100-2,625 per month.

But seeing as you’d be on the reduced price 6-month retainer, it’d cost between £1,996-2,495 per month.

You save over the course of 6 months. The real saver here though, is the space in your schedule to nurture the parts of your business that YOU actually feel good at.

No more scrambling to write your newsletter at 22:00 every Sunday or agonising over your blog strategy and Meta posts.

*By the way, if you need more content, want to reduce the output, or try out different deliverables, we’ll just adjust as we go along. That’s what the monthly meeting is for. I expect your needs to evolve over time and your strategy will evolve alongside that, too.

  • Choose this if:

    • You want a strategic, embedded partnership with momentum, clear direction, and intentional progress

    • You want faster turnarounds and a steady supportive presence without internal bottlenecks

    • You want a defined and consistent tone of voice across all channels

    • You’re ready to hold the success that comes with authentic presence in the market

    • You’d like ongoing clean adjustments and pivots based upon what is, and isn’t working

    • You’d like your copy and content strategy to be anchored to your business goals.

      In practice, this looks like:

      Strategy, direction & performance

    • Monthly creative strategy meeting, ongoing content planning and prioritisation

    • LLM-search + SEO alignment

    • Tone of voice development and refinement over time

    • Multi-channel optimisation

    Support & first dibs

    • Faster turnaround times

    • 1st in line for extra availability

    • Proactive extra suggestions, angles, insights, and experiments

    Example
    12 month retainer
    6-7 days a month

Additional work can be layered in if required.

    Per month (past client example):

    • 1x creative meeting to discuss strategy & ongoing support

    • 2x SEO & LLM-optimised blog posts (500-700 words)

    • 8x LinkedIn posts per month

    • 1x sideways sales campaign per month
(normally 3x emails, 4x social posts, and 2x aftercare emails)

    • 2x light touch copy-edits per month

Everything includes extensive research and analysis, strategy, optimisation, and feedback touchpoints.

    Investment:
At face value, this would cost up to £3,150-3,675 per month.

But on a 12 month retainer discount, at 6-7 working days per month, your investment would be £21898-3,381 per month.

    That’s a saving of around £3,500 per 12 months.

Sharpen your tools

Launching a website, building story banks, shaping your tone of voice?
I love this stuff. Let me make it easy for you.

  • “What should I say this week?”
    “I’ll play it safe”
“This sounds alright but feels weird”
“I should post for posting’s sake”
“I have nothing, should I lie?”
“My audience engaged with this last week, so I’ll reuse this hook”.

    “Aaarrgggghhhh”.

You’re confident in your ability to write your own copy, you value the power of storytelling, you want to stand out and strike a chord and yet…

You constantly find yourself with writer’s block, scrabbling for inspiration.

The Story Bank hands you a core narrative each month. It’s grounded in your brand, your value offer, and your audience’s needs. You get high-value content pieces that build trust and reciprocity with your audience.

It’s basically a wellspring of value, direction, and soul for you to take the reins with. Like a present each month completely tailored to your business.

    One story, multiple touchpoints.
Read it in 5 minutes, use it for 4 weeks.

    Aahhhh. Sigh of relief.

    How does it work?

We hold a 60-75 minute working session where I listen to you intently, I learn about your business, your product, and your audience. I mine for gold.

From there, I carry out extensive independent research.

And then I write the stories.

Each month, you receive an original, developed, moving narrative with a clear point of view and a clear solution.
It becomes something you can seamlessly turn into content across multitudes of touchpoints:

    • A sequence of social posts

    • An email campaign or sequence

    • Blog posts

    • Carousels, reels, or stories

    • Community forum posts

    • Paid ad campaigns

    • Workshop or seminar opening stories

    • Infographics based on stories

One strong idea, carried properly, is enough to EASILY power a month of content.

The focus is on quality, not quantity. You’ll lead in the field through your ability to weave threads through your work and to build structures of belonging for your audience to resonate with and come back to.

You’ll still continue to write fantastic content the way you always have done. But with The Story Bank, you begin each month with inspiration and a clear angle rather than a foggy mind and a blank page.

    Pricing

  • Sometimes you REALLY need to think before you speak.

You need to make sure all those flies on the wall aren’t going to take off the moment you make a move.
Or make sure no-one feels left out, vindicated, unsafe, or unheard.

Basically, you need to read a room.

And no, it’s not about walking on eggshells. Or trying to please everyone.

It’s about tact and kindness. Knowing where your language carries weight and how it affects how people perceive you.
And knowing how words will influence whether people are proud to associate themselves with you—or not.

    High-stakes sensitive subjects can include:
    Internal communication.
    Your sustainability manifesto.
    Any sustainability or inclusion communications.
    Crisis communications.
    Your inclusion policies.
Your auto-response email templates (ESPECIALLY the ones you send to unsuccessful applicants).
    Your brand manifesto.
    Your About Me.
    Apology statements.
    Trigger warnings.
    Bereavement or compassionate leave policies.

Your audience’s nervous systems unconsciously scan your language to see if they’re safe or welcome with you.

Here’s where your luck cashes in:
I’m one of the most perceptive and tuned-in people you’ll ever meet. (It’s a blessing and a curse).

And so when it comes down to sensitive subjects, you won’t need anyone else.
I write copy that lands with care, precision, and a deep understanding of who is reading at any given moment. I understand how, when people are worried, they scan for the key information. I communicate sticky subjects without losing people’s trust.

We don’t have to please everyone. But we do need to make sure people feel thought of.
Fill out the form on this page so that you cleanly communicate your sensitive subjects.

  • "Anna is a brilliant copywriter and someone I would happily recommend to anyone. She's able to get to the heart of a brief quickly and turn what often feels like loose or complex thinking into copy that's sharp, clear, and on-brand. She doesn't just write well, she really understands what would resonate with the audience, often suggesting a stronger angle or ways to improve the work. On top of that, Anna is a pleasure to work with - thoughtful, dependable, collaborative, and very easy to trust with a project. Any client or team would be lucky to work with her.

Jess Lewis, Lead Digital Designer @ Canyon Bicycles

  • Anna's one of the best copywriters I've worked with. Not only is she skilled with the written word, but her approach is grounded in thoroughly understanding the brief and, more importantly, the intended audience. She's able to take feedback and pivot direction brilliantly, which is often lacking in other copywriters' toolkits. Anna's a great asset in any creative team.

Chris Harding, Senior Content Designer @ Canyon Bicycles

  • When creating my website, Anna supported me brilliantly throughout the process. She was sharp in refining my wording, thought carefully about the purpose of each text, zoomed in on specific word choices and tone, and paid close attention to structure and messaging. She had a clear sense of what truly mattered and knew how to build the bridge between the website and the customer. Having the right copy gave me much more confidence in my website.

    Guido Nederstigt, Music Director

  • What stood out the most was her ability to approach copy in a truly unconventional way: fresh and creative. She had a great sense of humour and a sharp creative instinct, which made the work not only stronger but also great fun. She consistently went beyond the brief, adding alternative angles that elevated the final result. She brought concepts to life in a way that felt both human and clever. On top of that, she brought an amazing energy to the work: always positive, approachable, and open to discussion, whether brainstorming ideas or just chatting between tasks. I'd happily work with her again and highly recommend her as a copywriter and creative collaborator.

Fernando Rubino Pereira, Business Expert CRM Marketing @ Metro AG

  • Anna is a breath of fresh air. She wrote our weekly veggie-box newsletter with great verve and made it interesting, helpful, and informative beyond what I asked. Our community was consistantly engaged. I would very happily work with her again in the future.

    Michel Kegels, CEO @ Groenhartig
